We used the chance for free coffee and ‘Gipfeli’ at the Student Project House ‘Makerspace breakfast’ for an extended session to improve our webpage. Feel free to nagivate the hopefully now cleaned-up layout, and marvel at the new design.
All legal documents and signatures by donor, recipient and administrations have been arranged for the upcoming shipping of 4 valuable chemistry analytics devices (10-30 years old) from ETH Zurich to University of Sarajevo. We are looking forward to an impactful transfer and a long-lasting collaboration between all partners.
We have been selected to present our activities at this year’s Clinton Global Initiative (CGI U) conference in Chicago! Like last year, we will meet around 1000 other social entrepreneurs active in the fields of poverty alleviation, education, public health, etc., attend workshops, and benefit from a great network of foundations and other successful change makers. Wilfred and Jan had a great time at CGI U 2017 in Boston – what an experience!! We networked with over 1000 Social Entrepreneurs, attended workshops and panel discussions led by Bill and Chelsea Clinton about a better future, and pitched our idea! We made useful connections with people with backgrounds in different countries – the bigger the network, the better EquipSent’s global matching, the more opportunities we can create!
Today we had the chance to pitch at the SwissNex hub in Boston and met interesting people, including the Director of Development of the City of Cambridge, MA! He has projects and good connections to Haiti, where also scientific equipment is needed.
Tomorrow we will be at the Clinton Global Initiative conference at Northeastern University, excited!
EquipSent is now part of one of Germany’s largest social incubators based in Berlin: https://www.projecttogether.org! We receive coaching, attended an inspiring business case development weekend and have been selected among 10 “most promising” out of 300 social entrepreneurship projects!
